ABOUT LUCY
My name is Lucy Wagala and I am the founder of Wagala Compound. As herbal and natural remedies are becoming more widely used, there is a need to provide education to prevent harm and promote safe use. Inspired by my passion for pharmacy, Traditional East Asian Medicine, and my family roots, I created Wagala Compound as an online resource for holistic wellness.
In Cameroon, West Africa — where my family hails from — a compound describes the community in which an entire family lives, grows, and nurtures. In the medical world, compounding is the creation of a pharmaceutical drug by a licensed pharmacist to meet the unique needs of an individual patient. The name, Wagala Compound speaks to strong family ties and sense of community, comprehensive knowledge of medicine and dedication to individualized patient care.
I believe that our bodies are constantly changing, and that a holistic approach to medicine can help our bodies restore their natural sense of balance. Through hand-crafted and carefully selected herbal tea infusions, natural bath, body, and wellness tools, I aim to provide you with the resources you need to help you live a holistic lifestyle.
